The Edelrid Shield II climbing helmet is ideal for long routes in the mountains. The Shield II has an extremely lightweight In-Mold construction, consisting of an ergonomic expanded polystyrene mould with removable padding and a polycarbonate outer shell.

EPS (expanded polystyrene) is nothing more than high-density polystyrene and today is the best element capable of absorbing and isolating an impact, even a violent one.

At the moment of an impact, the polystyrene cells, which are usually open, react by closing and absorbing the energy released before it is discharged onto the head. The inner padding is also removable for washing and maintenance.

The innovative Wing-Fit adjustment system fits all sizes. It is equipped with large openings that allow optimal air passage and has four clips for the front.
